In October 2022, visited our Violin Making & Repair program, as part of a segment on instrument makers of Massachusetts.
Interviewed in the clip are Department Head and Instructor Roman Barnas sharing highlights of working with his student luthiers, and students Eliot Smith VM ’22 and Emmeline Nguyen VM ’25 relating how they found NBSS and their top accomplishments so far.
Also featured in Chronicle’s series were a in Billerica, a maker in Lowell, a supporting young Black musicians, and programs making a difference for local kids.
